Erica's "Little Monkey Easton" Baby Shower

On Saturday, I helped throw a baby shower for my friend Erica along with four of my other close friends. We had a great time setting up the night before and planning Erica's big day.

Easton's baby room has a few safari elements, so we went with a safari theme for the shower. Sam found the barrel of monkeys games and we turned them into Barrels of Blessings for Erica and Easton. All of the guests were asked to write Erica a note of encouragement while at the shower. Sam had to redo the table after Molly and I decorated...it just wasn't up to par.

The infamous paper palm tree...Sam and I found this tree on another blog and thought it would be a cute idea for the shower. Thank goodness for Jenn's brilliant idea to fluff out the droopy leaves by placing a paper plate underneath the leaves. This DIY project is not for the faint of heart!

I just loved how the flowers turned out! I found the multicolored crinkle at Joann's and layered it in the glass with animal crackers. I placed a drinking glass in the middle which held the water and flowers. Jenn added the finishing touch with the leopard bow. So cute!

Sam baked 25 banana bread favors on Friday morning! They turned out so cute and everyone really appreciated the homemade treat to take home and share with their families.

Tanya made the most delicious petit-fours with chocolate ganache, all while having her 6-week-old Tucker strapped to her chest...he was having a bad day! They turned out beautifully and tasted fantastic!

This shower was not a surprise...I'm wondering if Erica was surprised that we pulled it off without her help!

Another design element for Easton's room...Erica also received many necessities including diapers, wipes, and bottles!

UK vs. UF game-A win for the Wildcats!

Tuesday night Isaac and I drove up to Gainesville to meet Gabe, his friend Erica, and Matt for the UK vs. UF game. Besides being sick, it was alot of fun watching the Cats beat the Gators!

As you can see, the Gators' stadium is much smaller compared to Rupp Arena...but everyone has a good view of the game.

Aaron and Katie Treesh-Finally!!!

Aaron and Katie finally got married on Sunday, December 27th of 2009!!!

Aaron and Katie have been through more challenges during their two years of engagement than most couples go through during 10 years of marriage. Their relationship was strengthened through Aaron's one year deployment to Iraq and they could hardly wait to finally be husband and wife. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Treesh!

The Guest Book

These two danced all afternoon and sang a song to one another that was their special song while Aaron was deployed...so sweet!

It wouldn't be a Treesh wedding without Grandma kicking off her shoes (literally) and shedding her walker (again, literally) and getting down on the dance floor with Isaac. You'd never know she broke her hip a couple of months ago!

Leaving for their honeymoon! We heard that they had a great trip to Mexico and got to stay an extra night when they got bumped from their flight home. Aaron and Katie will be living in Alaska until summer and then will hopefully be moving back to the south. We are hoping they move to Tampa Bay...but no pressure!

Rewind!

The holidays came and went too quickly as always! I loaded the pictures backwards, so we'll just rewind through December! Somehow, I did not get any pictures of my Christmas decorations or Christmas with my family...not sure how that happened...

This is my surprise Christmas present from Isaac that I received the day we left for Knoxville...now it is fully assembled with eight chairs...I love my new kitchen table and it makes our kitchen feel so much bigger!

The weekend before Christmas we went to Disney to use up the last days of our passes. Saturday, we went to Animal Kingdom with the Chaneys. Carter and I were the most excited out of the group to see the animals. Isaac's feet were hurting (he got new shoes later for Christmas) and Cooper was ready to go mid-afternoon. Animal Kingdom Christmas tree...Disney does such a fun decorating job for Christmas. I told Isaac when we bought the passes last year that we absolutely had to go at Christmas so that I could see the decorations, not to mention the better, cool weather.

Mouse Ears wreath in the Magic Kingdom on Friday without the kiddos. I made everyone ride the rail to Magic Kingdom so that I could see the decorations...so worth it, to me anyway.

Cinderella's Castle...not as decorated as I thought it would be...and notice that the crowds were crazy in there! We only stayed for about 15 minutes and left for dinner outside the park.

I feel like I've been here before, maybe 3 months ago...Venice with the Dogges Palace and Clocktower...I want to go back soon!

Before our trip to Disney, we celebrated Christmas with a few close friends.

Back to Reality...

After returning from Italy, it was back to reality! Life did not stop while we were gone and it sped up once we got back! Sorry to take an intermission from the Italy pics!

A couple of weeks after we came home, Josh, Kelly and Hallie came down to Siesta Key for vacation and we got to spend time together over both weekends with their vacation sandwiched between. The first Saturday we watched the UK game like old times with the addition of Hallie, another new wildcat fan.

The following Thursday night, we attended the Life Care of Brandon's gala fundraising event. We enjoyed our friends' company, ate a nice meal, listened to personal testimonies from clients, and then got out our checkbook! We are blessed to be a part of this ministry.

Saturday, we met up with Kelly, Josh, and Hallie again before they had to catch their flight back home! We wish they lived here so that we could watch all the games and eat Saturday breakfasts together! Maybe when Josh has finished his residency....

After we said farewell to Josh, Kelly, and Hallie, it was off to Orlando for Adelyn's 1st birthday party!

And here Adelyn is trying to tell her mommy that she doesn't like cake...or at least not the icing all over her fingers! I caught her sneaking a few bites later from her daddy.

After celebrating so many 1st birthdays this fall, we got to celebrate Cory and Tanya's first baby with a baby shower. The guests were invited to the "La-Tea-Da" tearoom for the shower. Thankfully, my mom was here to help me and I've invited her back for the next big shower...I'm wishing and waiting for the day that my parents officially become "snow-birds"!

The set up here involved moving furniture and jerry-rigging a table! Tablecloths cover a multitude of sins!

Each guest got to take home a tea cup after reading the blessing for baby Tucker inside the cup.

And most recently, I got a call from Traci telling me that she had found $9.99 plane tickets on Allegiant Air and would it be ok if she and Mark came down for a last-minute visit? Of course!!!

Here we are at The Shrimp Boat, one of our local favorites with Mark and Traci. We had such a good time with them and wish we could have taken off of work to go to the beach with them! Come back soon!
